What types of pontoons do you offer?

We offer a full range of pontoons, including brand new builds, refurbished second-hand pontoons and gangways, custom pontoons, dam pontoons, and DIY pontoon kits. Whether it’s for your waterfront or a working farm dam, we’ve got a solution.

What do I need to know before buying a pontoon?

Every waterfront site is a little different, so there are a few things to consider like council approvals, how much space you’ve got, and what you’re using the pontoon for — boating, pumps, swimming, or just relaxing.

But don’t stress — we take care of all of that for you.
We’ll help you figure out what works on your property, and we can even handle the full council or marine approval process, start to finish.

Just give us a call and we’ll walk you through it, step by step. It’s what we do every day.

Are Mr Pontoons’ pontoons really unsinkable?

Yes — our pontoons are built with the highest standards; a marine-grade aluminium frame, high density foam, and HDPE plastic wrap. Even if punctured, they’re designed not to sink, giving you long term peace of mind.

Can you build a pontoon to suit my exact site or requirements?

Absolutely. We custom build pontoons to suit your site, water conditions, access needs, and personal preferences. Every pontoon is built with functionality in mind, with flexibility around size, layout, and finishes.

Which areas do you deliver to or service?

We’re based on the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, servicing areas from Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Yamba, Byron Bay, Kingscliff to Bundaberg and Hervey Bay. We also ship Australia wide, so no matter where you are, Adelaide SA, Sydney NSW or Perth WA; we’ll find a way to get your pontoon to you.

Do I need council or marine approvals to install a pontoon?

Yes, if it’s a new pontoon in most cases you will need council or marine authority approval — especially if you’re building on tidal waterways or regulated waterfronts.
The good news? We can take care of the entire application process for you. We’ll prepare the documents, lodge the application, and deal with the authorities so you don’t have to stress about the paperwork.

Are your pontoons suitable for areas with shallow water or limited tidal movement?

Definitely. Our pontoons are perfect for shallow or difficult-to-access areas where traditional dredging or piling isn’t feasible. We can design low-profile builds to suit tight clearances.

What customisation and accessories options are available for your pontoons?

We can tailor just about everything — from pontoon size and shape to railings, gangways, ladders, cleats, buffer, fenders, fishing table and finishes like UV protect marine carpet, non slip FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) or wood.

What are the different ways a pontoon can be secured in place?

Depending on your location and water conditions, pontoons can be anchored using stainless steel cables, aluminium strut arms, or vertical piles. We’ll recommend what works best for your setup.
